"Check Engine Lights – All about Storage"

This “Check Engine Lights” presentation will cover the slowest component, your storage.  We’ll examine the storage stack from application to physical disk looking for possible breakdowns.  I’ll also cover tools such as Perfmon, SQLIO, and IOMETER,  to check the health of your storage.  Within SQL Serve I’ll cover SQL Server Dynamic Management Views to report storage health.  We’ll end with short discussion on storage performance consideration when running SQL Server in the cloud for Windows Azure or under Windows Azure SQL Database (WASD)
